Book Signing at Tucson Festival of Books, Saturday, March 9, 11 am - 1 pm
Matt will be having a book signing at the Gecko Gals booth #133 near the Student Union next to the U of A bookstore at the Tucson Festival of Books. Can't make it there at that time? No problem. Book Signing at the Empire Ranch Open House in Sonoita, Saturday, November 3, 10 am - 4 pm
The Empire Ranch Ranch is a 22-room adobe and wood frame building which dates to 1870 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The ranch sits at the heart of the 42,000-acre Las Cienegas National Conservation Area (NCA), on public lands acquired and administered since 1988 by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Tucson Field Office. They conduct an open house once a year. Throughout the day relive cowboy traditions, watch exciting arena events featuring roping and riding, skill demonstrations, horseshoeing, saddle making, mule packing, and so much more! Enjoy your Western experience with "Cowboy Conversations," Western re-enactors, wagon rides, kid's corral, live Western music entertainment, Western authors pavilion, food, auctions, raffles, auctions and more!
If you're interested in western history, ranches or just having a fun time in beautiful Sonoita, this makes for a fun day. Oh, and you can also pick up a few great books from Arizona authors.

Matt's First Sell Out!
This weekend Matt dropped off some books on consignment at a small store in Oro Valley. This was the first place to officially carry Devil's Moon on their shelves. They SOLD OUT within an hour!
Amazing! Okay, it wasn't as if we'd given them hundreds of books, but still, it was thrilling to have them sell so quickly.
Now, we're off to drop off some more books ...

Matt held a prerelease book signing party on May 17th. Approximately 75 people attended and a great time was had by all. Matt thanks everyone for their wonderful support and friendship. It was a night he will remember forever.

Two Raffles Offered at Book Signing Party

We are happy to announce that we will having two raffles during the party, one at 7:15, the second at 8:30. Anyone buying a book between 6 and 7 is automatically entered in the first, and those buying a book after 7:15 in the second. At a minimum, we will be offering a gift certificate to The Loop (the restaurant catering the party) and one to the Fairfield Inn and Suites (where the party is being held). Big thanks to The Loop and Fairfield Inn for contributing to the party. They have been awesome in their support.

Matt donating 10% of Profit to Help People Suffering From MCS

Matt was diagnosed with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) in 2010. This disabling limbic system disorder results in severe reactions to not only chemicals, but every day household products like perfumes, fabric softeners, carpeting and paint. For a while Matt could not live inside his house and was living in a tent trailer in his front yard.
Traditional western medicine has no cure for MCS, and for the thousands who are afflicted by this disorder, the outlook is gloomy. Fortunately, Matt found an article published in the New York Times regarding a revolutionary new treatment system: The Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS). DNRS was founded by Annie Hopper, a long time MCS suffer who cured herself by rewiring her brain’s limbic system and is now providing help to others with MCS. Matt attended a DNRS workshop in November, 2011 and is now about 50% recovered with a goal of 100% recovered this year.
As a way of paying it forward, Matt is donating 10% of the profit from the sales of Devil’s Moon to help others suffering from MCS who could not otherwise afford treatment.
If any of you know people who are suffering from MCS, chronic fatigue, electrical sensitivities or fibromyalgia, this treatment can be life changing.

The Loop Catering Book Signing Party

The Loop "Taste of Chicago" has been selected to cater the prerelease party! Their food is great. There will be pizza, wings, veggies, potato skins, fruit, chips and salsa and dessert! Also, The Loop has a certified gluten free kitchen and there will be some gluten free pizza available too. Everyone is invited to come join the festivities.
